One thing is planned then another takes over. Linda was due to go to get a filter put in her vein to prevent clots moving to danger areas. (If clots form)
When I arrived linda was very agitated. Very stressed about the operation (key hole). I calmed her down and we got settled. I think most was because it was meant to be this morning but it was now 3pm. Also Linda can't process stuff because the brain is still under pressure. So she panics and fears and gets upset. It is so hard seeing her in distress.
Then things changed again. Bloods show kidney issues which is not improving. Because the first operation needs dyes to see where they are placing the filter, these can effect kidney so they cancelled it.
They are now taking her for a ultra sound scan of kidney also put in a catheter to monitor fluids. She hasn't been drinking much but they have been giving fluids by IV so the kidney should be working normally.
Where does my help come from
I lift up my eyes to the mountains – where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. Psalm 121:1-2
As you know I love hillwalking and I get so refreshed when in the mountains. But this reminds me of where my help comes from. When my resources are gone, when I'm exhausted and fearful, it reminds me that I have a loving Lord almighty that really does help.
I need to keep hold of this as we take one day at a time.
