Oncina to Villar de Mazarife to Hospital de Orbigo.

Thunderstorm in tent last night. No problem!! Left at 5:30 but 4 hours before a place for breakfast. Apple, orange and bar to keep me going. Stoped early. Tent up, showered, all by 12pm. Relaxing and thinking. 

FEAR 😰

I put my hand in my pocket to take out my phone, it wasn’t there!!!! Panic and fear set in. How do I find it. I can’t ring it. I’m 5km from camping spot. Oh no, I don’t want to walk back. (We’ve all been there). Then relief, it’s in my other pocket. Phew. Heart slows down again.

What are you afraid of ?
I have friends afraid of spiders, snakes, heights and claustrophobia. Linda used to call me from bathroom,”STEPHEN there’s a runner in the bath”.
Maybe you fear change (yesterday's thought)

I think most people are afraid of death, the big unknown. We don’t talk about it, we avoid it, we brush it under the carpet, we think it will never happen. The “bad news” is that we will all die.

I don’t fear dying. I did fear something happening to Linda which I have now faced and come through. Myself, I think a long illness is what I’m afraid of. It’s hard to understand someone else’s fear if you don’t have it. I give my friends a hard time with their fears. I’m a joker and tease them awfully. I know I shouldn’t but…

I’d say the “good news” is that, we are all going to die. Hebrew’s tells us that we don’t need to fear death because Jesus has overcome “death” by His death on the cross.

I quoted this when Linda died. “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:55-57

It’s true, death is only a doorway into a perfect future with Christ, once we accept his amazing sacrifice at Calvary.

What are you afraid of?

Don’t be, because if death is sorted then everything else is possible to overcome or maybe put up with.
